Use Advanced Custom Fields in your Newsletter Campaigns

Advanced Custom Fields is a popular plugin that can help you add extra content fields to your WordPress edit screens. These extra content fields are more commonly referred to as Custom Fields and can allow you to build websites faster and educate your clients quicker.

With Mailster you can use these fields inside your email campaigns

Set up your Advanced Custom Fields

First setup the fields you like to use. If you are not familiar with ACF please check out their Getting Started guide.

Enable your custom fields to be used in email campaigns

Make sure you enable your group for Campaigns, otherwise they do not show up on the campaign edit screen.

Use Custom Fields in your Campaign

Once you start a new campaign a new meta box with your Group name will show up on the Mailster edit screen:

You can now use these fields inside your Newsletter campaign. Find all the tags In the tags dropdown menu:

The format of the tag is {acf:[fieldname]} (while [fieldname] is the actual name of your custom field).

You can also use a fallback in case your custom field is empty: {acf:[fieldname]|fallback}

You can use all Mailster Tags inside your Advanced Custom Fields!
